this year mum and i decided to make our own easter eggs.
we figured that a lot of the money we spend goes towards packaging all these fancy eggs, rather than the actual chocolate. so we bought a few plain blocks and melted them down.
this way we can make exactly what we'd like and we know what's going in them.
plus it's fun!
we're big fans of lindt's 70% cocoa, chocolate.
as far as we know there's no dairy in it, therefore it's one that i can eat. hooray!
my brother loves his crunchie and turkish delight easter eggs, so we made a few of these as well.
couldn't have him missing out on his favourites ;)
we also had some pre-made orange truffles in the fridge, so we put these in the middle of a few.
we found these cute little moulds at ikea for $1 each!
mum ordered some little coloured foils to wrap the easter eggs but they didn't arrive in time :(
we ended up using aluminium foil. not as pretty but it still works.
can't wait to eat them!
next year we might try and actually make the chocolate as well :)
