my dearest friend, courtenay, married the love of her life on saturday. it was a joy to stand beside her and witness the joining of these two incredible people. courtenay has the warmest heart and james has such a joyful and generous spirit. i can't wait to see all that the Lord has in store for them. they have a very special place in my heart and i couldn't be happier for them.

james and courtenay both have the most beautiful, infectious smiles.

*please note, a couple of the photos were stolen from friends :)

my afternoon looked a little like this:

after spending a few hours at the shops with my mum this morning, this was exactly what i needed. i'm not a huge fan of shopping centres. i do love to shop, but the busy centres often make me feel claustrophobic and i tend to get a little uptight (sorry mum!). so coming home to sit in the beautiful sunshine and work on an assignment for next week was very refreshing.

painting in the sunshine and beautiful breeze makes for one happy girl!

i really could do this every day.

i hope your day turned out just as lovely!

courtenay's kitchen tea

toilet paper wedding dresses, pictionary and lots of delicious food. what's not to love about a kitchen tea?!

we'd set up to have the tea outside on the verandah and were hoping (praying!) that the predicted afternoon storm would hold off until afterwards. especially since we'd had such beautiful sunny weather all week. but just as everyone was arriving it suddenly got really dark and the skies opened up. unfortunately we had to grab everything and squeeze inside, but it added a bit of excitement to the day ;) sometimes things are more fun when they don't go to plan! and the sun came out again after an hour or so, so we could wander back out to the deck. i guess that's why we love brisbane and its crazy tropical weather!
