the lastest project that i'm eager to get started on, is a chest of drawers for my bedroom. currently it's wood with a laminate veneer finish and silver handles. the plan is to give it a coat of white / off-white paint and replace the handles with a mix match of cute little knobs.
earlier in the year, i found two at a boutique store and have been scouring op-shops since, in the hopes of finding some more.
i knew of a few op-shops on the sunshine coast that sold interesting furniture and quite a large supply of bric-a-brac, so took a drive up there on wednesday to check them out.
i went to three different stores but to no avail :(
i did find one in a salvage yard though. it's a bit plainer than i had hoped but was only $2 and if paired with a more colourful knob, i think it should look alright.
the chest of drawers has ten handles so i still need seven more...
thinking of checking out a few more salvage yards and maybe even heading over to etsy for a browse.
any other suggestions would be much appreciated!
being such a glorious day i had to make a little pitt stop by the sea, before heading home.
