reminiscing about my trip to perth in january.
growing up on different sides of the country means that we don't get to see each other very often. but when we do, it's usually a couple of weeks living in the same house, spending as much time together as possible. and it's a ball!
in a way, i think it's made us closer. it's definitely hard being away from them, but i'm so thankful for the relationship that we have. they're the best!
anika and i both really love creases and wrinkles so we found some photos of elderly people and had a go at using chalk pastels to draw them. we spent the day sitting at the dining table with the music on. it was so nice.
it was also really interesting watching the progression of our pieces and seeing the different approach that we took. i often get side-tracked and a little fidgety when doing artwork but having anika there to draw with, meant that i started something and finished it, all in the same day!
it was a lot of fun, and that girl sure has talent!
(anika did the top one, i did the bottom one)
we also hung out with some of anikas friends. they're lovely! it makes me incredibly happy to know that she's got great people around her.
and who doesn't love grill'd?! yum.
